The photograph analyzed here (PSP_006771_1285) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 06 January 2008 and is described as ‘Lowell Crater Northern Rim.’
Here I feature a 3D render I created of, what I speculate, might be a part of a “Sundial”-Like structure with much of it buried in the sand around it at a site in Aonia Terra. From the elevation of the sun (data provided by NASA) and the length of the shadow it works out to be approximately 11 metres tall.

It is speculated that Mars was once a moon of a much larger planet and that the planet exploded leaving the asteroid belt; further, the explosion stripped the surface of the side of Mars facing the planet clean. Here I speculate further and suggest the momentum of the explosion caused Mars to rotate 90 degrees clockwise.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.
