The photograph analyzed here (G01_018593_2214_XI_41N302W) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 2010-07-15 and is described as ‘Protonilus/Nilosyrtis fretted terrain – northern plains transition area.’
Here I feature an anomaly I discovered several years ago at a site in Protonilus Mensae located in the Northern mid-latitudes of Mars. I used Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel AI to upscale this image with awesome results. The artifact looks similar to a sculpture of an eye and measures approximately 500 metres long. Included in this feature is an illustration I did of the anomaly in which I speculated it might be a huge boat.
In future I’ll be redoing the best older anomalies I featured using Gigapixel AI to show you unprecedented detail I wasn’t able to in the past using PhotoZoom Pro 7.
As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.
