The photograph analyzed here (ESP_012945_1450) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 01 May 2009 and is described as ‘Possible MSL Landling Site Near Atlantis Chaos.’
Here I feature new anomalies I discovered at a site in Atlantis Basin in a region of Mars called Atlantis Chaos.
I used Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel Recovery to upscale these images four times actual size.
As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.
The geometry of these surface features on Mars remind me of ancient ruins we find here on Earth:
Note the similar geometry as well as the strange white powder-like material surrounding some of the foundation outlines like that as seen in the Mars images.
