The photograph analyzed here (M09-01354) was acquired on 1999-11-05 and is described as ‘MOC narrow-angle image M09-01354.’
Here I feature an anomaly I previously discovered North of Deseado in a region of Mars called Promethei Planum. As the image featured previously was upscaled using older software I decided to re-upscale this with newer image upscaling software to reveal better detail.
I speculate seen in this NASA photograph is a lake surrounded by root-like vegetation growing on the surface. Could the lake be frozen water or could it still be in a liquid state if it is brine/salt water? Also note the line of similar white objects spaced about 25 metres apart located to the top-right of the lake (could these be mooring points or craft?).

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.
