The photograph analyzed here (NLB_507300229EDR_F0521162NCAM00322M_) was acquired by NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity on 2016-01-29 01:03:13 UTC and is described as ‘Sol 1237: Left Navigation Camera.’
Here I feature an anomaly that appears to have equally spaced notches on it. I estimate the object to be about three to four inches or so long. Is it a part of the rover that fell off or might it be an object unearthed by the rover?

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.
