Two photographs taken by the Perseverance Rover are analyzed here:
The Left Mastcam-Z Camera acquired the 1st photograph on April 11, 2025 (Sol 1472) at the local mean solar time of 11:27:36 and the Front Left Hazard Avoidance Camera (Hazcam) acquired the 2nd photograph on April 12, 2025 (Sol 1473) at the local mean solar time of 12:54:09.
Featured here are two small pieces that have a “glass”-like appearance. Could these pieces have been part of a larger object that was blown apart in an explosion? The pieces appear to have been subjected to extreme temperatures. I doesn’t look like a meteorite struck the surface near this site.
As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these anomalies might be.
