GAME REVIEW and DOWNLOAD | Mars Explorer IV v4.1 (UE4)

I have completed development of my latest Mars Exploration Game developed in Unreal Engine 4 (UE4). This is version 4 (I’ve added many new anomalies to discover and explore and fixed several software bugs in this version).

I try to represent the 3D objects in the game are accurately as possible, they are representations of the top anomalies and artifacts I discovered on Mars (as featured in my 3D illustrations).

This game is about a speculative look at what could have been on Mars in the distant past before the catastrophe/s destroyed everything and because it’s speculative artistic license/artists impression has been used in the presentation of the objects in the game.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

NOTE: Version 4.1 of the game is no longer available, version 5.2 is now the latest version available for download.

In-game screenshots

Following are several screenshots taken from within the game. There are dozens more artifacts I haven’t included below.

About the game

The game is compiled to run on Windows 64-bit platform (this should include both Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11 64-bit) and you will need a computer with a medium-to-high-end graphics card.

Running the game

This is a stand-alone application so it does not install in Windows.

To run it use File Explorer to find the .exe and double click it. This should run the game.

You can also copy over the included “Mars Explorer IV (shortcut)” shortcut to the desktop. This makes it easier to run the game from the desktop in future.

I have also included a 48×48 pixel size icon that can be used if the one that comes with the game doesn’t show nicely on your desktop. To use it right-click on the shortcut and click Properties, followed by Change Icon then Browse. Browse to the folder where you game resides and select the “ME-Logo-48×48.ico” file and click Apply.

Security/permissions in windows

Windows Security may also initially block the game from running (this is a normal security feature). Bypass it by selecting Allow to run.

REDUX Anomalies South-West of Proctor on Mars

Three MRO photographs are analyzed here:

i) ESP_074745_1275 was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) on 07 July 2022 and is described as ‘Dune Field Monitoring.’

ii) ESP_077541_1275 was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) on 10 February 2023 and is described as ‘Linear Dune Gullies in Hellespontus Region.’

iii) PSP_005330_1275 was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) on 15 September 2007 and is described as ‘Hellespontus Region Dune Field.’

Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a site South-West of Proctor in a region of Mars called Noachis Terra. I used Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel AI to upscale these image with incredible results.

In future I’ll be using Gigapixel AI to upscale images in unprecedented detail which I wasn’t able to in the past when I was using PhotoZoom Pro 7.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

REDUX Anomalies South of Phrixi Rupes on Mars

The photograph analyzed here (ESP_039235_1325) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 09 December 2014 and is described as ‘Degraded Crater Rim and Dunes.’

Here I feature anomalies I discovered a while ago at a site located South of Phrixi Rupes in a region of Mars called Argyre Planitia. I used Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel AI to upscale these image with incredible results.

In future I’ll be redoing the best older anomalies I featured using Gigapixel AI to show you unprecedented detail I wasn’t able to in the past using PhotoZoom Pro 7.

REDUX PERSEVERANCE ROVER Photographs Out of Place Object (Sol 455)

The two photographs analyzed here were taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 455.

Here I feature a rectangular anomaly with rounded sides I discovered in two photographs taken a couple of minutes apart at a site near the so-called ‘Bacon Strip.’ There is a smaller part to the bottom right of the main object and in the second photograph taken a few minutes later this smaller part is gone (is this due to a slightly different angle?). I speculate the main object measures approximately 1 metre to 2 metres across.

I used Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel AI to upscale these images with incredible results.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

REDUX Anomalies North of Ulyxis Rupes on Mars

Two NASA MRO JP2 photographs are featured here:

i) (ESP_066840_1145) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 29 October 2020 and is described as ‘Monitoring Dust Devil Tracks in Terra Cimmeria.’

ii) (ESP_058031_1145) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 13 December 2018 and is described as ‘Monitoring Dust Devil Tracks in Terra Cimmeria.’

Here I feature anomalies I discovered several years ago at a site North of Ulyxis Rupes located in a region of Mars called Terra Cimmeria. I used Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel AI to upscale these image with awesome results.

In future I’ll be redoing the best older anomalies I featured using Gigapixel AI to show you unprecedented detail I wasn’t able to in the past using PhotoZoom Pro 7.

ii) The photograph analyzed here (ESP_065499_1325) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 17 July 2020 and is described as ‘Monitoring Dune Movement in Proctor Crater.’

REDUX Anomalies South of Pai on Mars

Three photographs area analyzed here:

ESP_060079_1370 was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 14 August 2011 and is described as ‘USGS Dune Database Number 0380-426 Monitoring.’

ESP_077171_1370 was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 28 December 2009 and is described as ‘Dune Symmetry.’

ESP_016036_1370 was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 14 August 2011 and is described as ‘Dunes.’

Here I feature anomalies I discovered several years ago at a site south of Pai located in a region of Mars called Noachis Terra. I used Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel AI to upscale these images.

In future I’ll be redoing the best older anomalies I featured using Gigapixel AI to show you unprecedented detail I wasn’t able to in the past using PhotoZoom Pro 7.

REDUX “JoFruit” South of Gemini Scopuli on Mars

The photograph analyzed here (ESP_041959_2565) was taken by NASA’s MRO on 09 July 2015 and is described as ‘Dunes.’

Here I feature 3D renders I created of spherical anomalies using Adobe Dimension; these were originally discovered by Joe White from ArtAlienTV in the Nothern Polar regions of Mars. Joe speculates these are lifeforms, like huge fruit or vegetables. They seem to propagate young lifeform in long pods (some 1 to 2 km in length). The anomalies generally measure approximately 180 to 200 metres plus in size and are spaced mostly equally apart.

Also featured here are incredible close-up’s of the anomalies I created using Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel AI.

Could this be huge vegetable/fruit-like lifeforms with leaves or flowers at one end and a partial opening on the other end, much like fruit we find here on Earth but on a much smaller scale?

Anomalies Discovered South of Dokuchaev on Mars

The photograph analyzed here (ESP_023664_1165) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 14 August 2011 and is described as ‘Dunes.’

Here I feature anomalies I discovered several years ago at a site south of Dokuchaev located in the the western edge of Aonia Terra. I used Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel AI to upscale these image with awesome results. The artifacts include: megalithic blocks, some with protrusions and other with holes in their centers, misc. metallic-like objects that look like wreckage/panels, various objects that appear sculpted like the giant finger and dome-shaped objects.

In future I’ll be redoing the best older anomalies I featured using Gigapixel AI to show you unprecedented detail I wasn’t able to in the past using PhotoZoom Pro 7.
