Huge “Reflective Disc” and Weird Ring Photographed East of Deuteronilus Colles on Mars

The photograph analyzed here (F02_036488_2211_XI_41N335W) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 2014-05-09T16:37:29.117 and is described as ‘North Arabia Terra monitoring site.’

Here are featured two anomalies I discovered in this photograph located at a site East of Deuteronilus Colles in a region of Mars called Arabia Terra.

The first anomaly looks like a reflective disc that is embedded in the Martian surface, it measure approximately 240 metres in diameter (could it be a pool of frozen water ice, hatch or craft?). The second anomaly resembles a large ring measuring approximately 120 metres in diameter.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

ROVER CURIOSITY | Photographs Another Spherical Ball (Sol 4456)

Featured here is another spherical object photographed by the Rover Curiosity. This photographs was taken Mast Camera (Mastcam) onboard NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 4456 (2025-02-17 17:48:29 UTC).

This is one of three spherical objects about the same size and shape recently photographed by the Rover Curiosity. I estimate these objects to be about 12 to 14 cm in diameter.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what this anomaly might be.

Outlines of Possible Ancient Structures on Mars

Two anomalies are featured here, both showing rectangular outlines of possible ancient structures on Mars.

The first anomaly:

The photograph analyzed here (E1000462) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) on 2001-11-04T09:17:23.04 and is described as ‘Material within crater at 28.4 N 332.4 W.’

The anomaly is located at a site near Cassini in a region of Mars called Arabia Terra. The outline of the rectangular feature measures approximately 1800 m x 2000 m. The anomaly is highly eroded and partially covered in sand.

The second anomaly:

The photograph analyzed here (B05_011413_1790_XN_01S113W) was acquired by NASA’s MRO CTX on 2009-01-01T19:28:56.378 and is described as ‘Ride-along with HiRISE.’

The anomaly is located at a site on the edge of Pavonis Mons. The outline of the rectangular feature measures approximately 600 m x 700 m. It appears liquid flowed through the feature, from left to right, destroying both opposing corners and moving the upper-left edge away towards the top.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

ROVER CURIOSITY | Photographs an Additional Two More Blocks (Sol 4453)

Featured here are two new blocks/slabs photographed by the Rover Curiosity. The blocks are not small when compared to the rovers wheel visible near the blocks.

I also feature a block with what looks like rust or eroded away plater/cement-like material on the one side.

Could these be an intelligently made or just a product of some natural geological process?

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what this anomaly might be.

Eye-Shaped Anomaly in Moreux

The photograph analyzed here (ESP_086216_2220) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 17 December 2024 and is described as ‘Moreux Crater Bedform Monitoring.’

Here I feature anomalies I discovered at a site in Moreux in a region of Mars called Protonilus Mensae. The feature anomaly looks like a depiction of an eye about seven metres across and it is surrounded by huge megalithic blocks in the surrounding area.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

ROVER CURIOSITY | Strange Artifact Spotted on Sol 4439

The photograph analyzed here waw taken by the Mast Camera (Mastcam) onboard NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 4439 (2025-01-31 03:30:00 UTC).

Featured here is a spherically-shaped anomaly with two symmetrical holes on the top. I estimate the sphere to be about tennis ball sized, although it could be larger (there is no scale reference so it is difficult to say for sure).

Could this be an intelligently made artifact/sculpture or possibly a fossilized shell?

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what this anomaly might be.

ROVER CURIOSITY | Mysterious Airborne Phenomenon Seen in Sequence of Photographs (Sol 4438)

The photographs analyzed here were taken by the Right Navigation Camera onboard NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 4438 (1st photograph: 2025-01-30 00:27:50 UTC and the two raining photographs 13 seconds each afterwards).

Featured here is an airborne anomaly that shows up in a sequence of photographs taken by the rover 12 to 13 seconds apart (the anomaly appears in the second photograph in the sequence of three). It appears to consist of a solid, smaller part with a blurry/fuzzy larger part to the one side, as seen in a similar airborne object I discovered in another rover photograph.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what this anomaly might be.

ROVER CURIOSITY | Protruding Metallic-Like Item Photographed on Sol 173

The photograph analyzed here was taken by the Mast Camera (Mastcam) onboard NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 173 (2013-01-30 23:39:36 UTC).

Featured here is an anomaly that has a shiny, metallic-like appearance. I estimate the object to be about 15 cm in size (it’s difficult to judge the accurate size of the object as there is no scale indicator). There is nothing else like it in this photograph as can be seen in the Gigapan linked below.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what this anomaly might be.

Huge Dome-Shaped Object (300m across) Photographed East of Cassini

The photograph analyzed here (G22_026994_2170_XI_37N335W) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 2012-04-29T21:40:24.505 and is described as ‘Mid-latitude valleys in Arabia Terra.’

Here I feature anomalies I featured many years ago. In this presentation I show these anomalies once again, re-upscaled and in higher detail. This site is East of Cassini located in a region of Mars called Arabia Terra.

The dome-shaped object is approximately 300 metres in diameter and the oval object approximately 150 metres long. The dome-shaped object has a neat crack or slot from the edge to the center were there seems to be a hole (or could the be smoke coming out of the hole?). It also looks to be extending over the crack in the Martian surface.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

REDUX | Strange Blocks and Discs Discovered East of Russell

The photograph analyzed here (ESP_014296_1255) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 14 August 2009 and is described as ‘Gullies with Dark Channels.’

Here I feature anomalies I featured some years ago. In this presentation I show these anomalies once again, re-upscaled and in higher detail. This site is East of Russell located in a region of Mars called Noachis Terra.
