PERSEVERANCE ROVER Photographs Out-of-Place Item on Sol 461

The photograph analyzed here was taken by Perseverance Rover on June 7, 2022 (Sol 461) at the local mean solar time of 13:53:49.

Here I feature a possible out-of-place item; the symmetry and geometry of the object makes it look artificial, something like an arrow head or spear tip. I estimate the item to be about an inch or two long.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

PERSEVERANCE ROVER Photographs Possible Square Symbol on Sol 459

The photograph analyzed here was taken by Perseverance Rover Left Mastcam-Z camera. Mastcam-Z on June 5, 2022 (Sol 459) at the local mean solar time of 10:08:55.

Here I feature yet another possible glyph or symbol, this time a square, carved into a triangular. The square is symmetrical and is placed in the center of a triangular object. There are also two blocks near this anomaly to the right and above, each block seems to have a roughly rectangular hole in the center of their facing sides. I estimate the block to the right of the main anomaly to be about 50 cm across.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

SPECIAL EDITION The Epic Journey and the Anomalies Discovered by Perseverance Rover Thus Far

Here I feature all the anomalies I discovered in Perseverance Rover photographed thus far. I show them in context of the JP2 photograph in the Where is Perseverance? tracking tool.

I also highlight why these anomalies don’t show up in MRO orbiter photographs due to their relatively small size.

Also featured is the latest MRO orbiter photograph of the rover (ESP_073635_1985) acquired on 11 April 2022.

PERSEVERANCE ROVER Photographs Out of Place Item on Sol 455

The photographs analyzed here was taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 455.

Here I feature a rectangular anomaly with rounded sides I discovered in two photographs taken a couple of minutes appart. There is a smaller part to the bottom right of the main object and in the second photograph taken a few minutes later this smaller part is gone (is this due to a slightly different angle?). I speculate the main object measures approximately 1 metres across.

PERSERVERENCE ROVER Megalithic Blocks Spotted on Sol 449

The photographs analyzed here was taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 449 and 420.

Here I feature an anomalies I discovered that look like megalithic blocks, some placed on what I speculate to be a type of slab uniform in thickness. It also looks like the potential megalithic structure was surrounded by water (like a type of island structure) with some blocks having rolled down the surrounding slope when the water disappeared. I speculate the blocks to measure approximately 1 to 2 metres across.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

PERSEVERANCE ROVER Photographs Strange Blocks (Sol 419/420)

The photographs analyzed here was taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 419 and 420.

Here I feature an anomalies I discovered that look like megalithic blocks, some with what I speculate to be carved/machined-out bits and a strange disc/snail-shaped (not that it is a snail) object which appears to be attached to a block (could this be some type of fossil?). I speculate the objects to measure approximately 1 to 2 metres across.

PERSEVERANCE ROVER Weird ‘Snail’-Shaped Object Spotted on Sol 406

The photograph analyzed here was taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 406.

Here I feature an anomaly I discovered that appears snail-shaped (not that it is a snail). It looks like it consists of two parts, i.e. a disc-shaped part on the surface and a metallic-type covering on the top coming around the disc and ending up just above the surface. I speculate the object measures approximately 1 to 2 metres across.

PERSEVERANCE ROVER Strange Disc/Sphere-Shaped Object Photographed on Sol 405

The photographs here analyzed were taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 405.

Here I feature an anomaly I discovered that looks similar to the small spherical object photographed by other rovers in the past. This anomaly however looks different, it has more of a disc shape/flatter look to it. Are we possibly looking at fossilized shell? The object measures approximately two inches across when comparing it to the rover tread impression seen top right in the one photograph.

DOWNLOAD UE4 Mars Exploration Game (Version 1.0)

I have completed development of my Mars Exploration Game developed in Unreal Engine 4 (UE4). I try to represent the 3D objects in the game are accurately as possible, they are representations of the top anomalies and artifacts I discovered on Mars (as featured in my 3D illustrations last month).

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

NOTE: Version 1.0 of the game is no longer available, version 5.2 is now the latest version available for download.

The game is compiled to run on Windows 64-Bit operating systems and you will need a computer with a medium-to-high-end graphics card.

IMPORTANT

Small software bug in the game:

When the game starts after the Main Menu you may note that your character doesn’t want to respond to your mouse movements (and the mouse pointer may appear in the game), to game control of your character using the mouse hold down the right mouse button and move your mouse around a bit. Following that control should be established. I’ll try to fix this bug in a future game version. My apology for the inconvenience.

Please let me know if there are any other glaring bugs in the game.

I hope you enjoy exploring these strange artifacts discovered on Mars. Hopefully this game encourages future explorers to check these out to find out if these are indeed ancient artifacts, for now I can only speculate.

SECURITY/PERMISSIONS IN WINDOWS

This is a stand-alone application so it does not install in Windows. To run it use File Explorer to find the .exe and double click it. This should run the game. You can also right-click and chose “Create Shortcut” which you can copy over to the desktop. This makes it easier to run in future. Windows Security may also initially block the game from running (this is a normal security feature). Bypass it by selecting Allow to run.

THE GRAND TOUR The Greater Utopia Planitia

The Ninth in the series of ‘Grand Tour’ episodes looking at anomalies and artifacts I discovered in the greater Utopia Planitia on Mars.

This series is a culmination of almost three years of research.

Anomalies and artifacts covered here range from carved/sculpted objects, triangular objects, megalithic blocks and slabs (some have what appear to have openings in the one side, like containers), possible monoliths, ruins, large disc-shaped objects, strange geometric ‘glyph’-type alignments, perhaps some wreckage (metallic-like objects), objects with protrusions/knobs and/or holes in their centers, ‘pillbox’-shaped artifacts and so much more.
