PERSEVERANCE ROVER Weird ‘Snail’-Shaped Object Spotted on Sol 406

The photograph analyzed here was taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 406.

Here I feature an anomaly I discovered that appears snail-shaped (not that it is a snail). It looks like it consists of two parts, i.e. a disc-shaped part on the surface and a metallic-type covering on the top coming around the disc and ending up just above the surface. I speculate the object measures approximately 1 to 2 metres across.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

PERSEVERANCE ROVER Strange Disc/Sphere-Shaped Object Photographed on Sol 405

The photographs here analyzed were taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 405.

Here I feature an anomaly I discovered that looks similar to the small spherical object photographed by other rovers in the past. This anomaly however looks different, it has more of a disc shape/flatter look to it. Are we possibly looking at fossilized shell? The object measures approximately two inches across when comparing it to the rover tread impression seen top right in the one photograph.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

DOWNLOAD UE4 Mars Exploration Game (Version 1.0)

I have completed development of my Mars Exploration Game developed in Unreal Engine 4 (UE4). I try to represent the 3D objects in the game are accurately as possible, they are representations of the top anomalies and artifacts I discovered on Mars (as featured in my 3D illustrations last month).

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

The game is compiled to run on Windows 64-Bit operating systems and you will need a computer with a medium-to-high-end graphics card.

IMPORTANT

Small software bug in the game:

When the game starts after the Main Menu you may note that your character doesn’t want to respond to your mouse movements (and the mouse pointer may appear in the game), to game control of your character using the mouse hold down the right mouse button and move your mouse around a bit. Following that control should be established. I’ll try to fix this bug in a future game version. My apology for the inconvenience.

Please let me know if there are any other glaring bugs in the game.

I hope you enjoy exploring these strange artifacts discovered on Mars. Hopefully this game encourages future explorers to check these out to find out if these are indeed ancient artifacts, for now I can only speculate.

SECURITY/PERMISSIONS IN WINDOWS

This is a stand-alone application so it does not install in Windows. To run it use File Explorer to find the .exe and double click it. This should run the game. You can also right-click and chose “Create Shortcut” which you can copy over to the desktop. This makes it easier to run in future. Windows Security may also initially block the game from running (this is a normal security feature). Bypass it by selecting Allow to run.

THE GRAND TOUR The Greater Utopia Planitia

The Ninth in the series of ‘Grand Tour’ episodes looking at anomalies and artifacts I discovered in the greater Utopia Planitia on Mars.

This series is a culmination of almost three years of research.

Anomalies and artifacts covered here range from carved/sculpted objects, triangular objects, megalithic blocks and slabs (some have what appear to have openings in the one side, like containers), possible monoliths, ruins, large disc-shaped objects, strange geometric ‘glyph’-type alignments, perhaps some wreckage (metallic-like objects), objects with protrusions/knobs and/or holes in their centers, ‘pillbox’-shaped artifacts and so much more.

Perseverance Rover Photographs the Megalithic Blocks of ‘The Citadel’ on Mars

The photographs here analyzed were taken by Perseverance Rover on Sol 4, 200, 205 and 206.

Here I feature anomalies I discovered that look like megalithic-type block/slabs with symmetrical protrusions on them, some more sculpted-type objects and structure-type anomalies. Of particular interest in this photograph is the similarity in size and shape between these blocks/slabs, they are also similar to the blocks found at some ancient megalithic ruins in South America (the way the blocks were machined or molded to fit is interesting). One block seems to show groves by what might be machine marks. We have now seen these megalithic blocks from orbit and now up close and in colour on the surface.

Are we possibly looking at remnants of an ancient megalithic city? After all NASA does call these photographs taken on Sol 205 and 206 ‘The Citadel.’

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

Mars 2020 Mission Perseverance Rover: Anomalies Sol 4 (High-Resolution)

Here we look at Mastcam-Z’s First Hi-Resolution 360-Degree Panorama of Sol 4 photographs put together by NASA.

The anomalies I discovered in these photographs include many similar disc-shaped objects, pieces that appear sculpted, a tombstone-shaped object (almost sculpted in appearance) sticking out of the surface, objects that look metallic in nature layered one on top of the other like sheets of metal and a huge rectangular object that looks like a megalithic block sticking out the side of a small hill.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

Mars 2020 Mission Hardware As Seen From Orbit

The HiRISE image analyzed here shows the Perseverance Rover on the surface of Mars as well as many parts of the descent system on the surface. Each inset shows an area about 200 meters across (approx. 100cm/pixel). The rover is located in the center of a blast pattern created by the hovering skycrane (labeled as “descent stage”). The skycrane flew off to crash as at a safe distance creating a V-shaped debris pattern that points back toward the rover it came from.

Perseverance Rover Lands on Mars (A Closer Look at Anomalies Nearby)

Two photographs are analyzed here (ESP_037818_1990 and PSP_002743_1985) and were acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on 21 August 2014 and 26 February 2007 and are described as ‘Candidate Landing Site for 2020 Mission in Jezero Crater’ and ‘Proposed MSL Site in Nili Fossae Crater’ respectively

Feature here are anomalies I discovered in two sites located in Jezero. These anomalies include what I speculate might be the the remains of canals, trenches, roads and/or outlines of ancient structures; they run parallel to one another and seem to cut through hills and features on the surface which makes a compelling case that these might have been carved into the surface (ridges on either side indicate the trenches were made by something that likely pushed the material to either side of the trenches). There are also huge square depressions parallel to these and often the trenches run up to and intersect one side and stopping. Might these square depressions be ancient dams or reservoirs with canals feeding water to smaller tributaries that run at 45 degrees to these (like we see in agricultural framing here on Earth)?

Seen are what I speculate to be large canals (4 to 5 m wide), feeding a network of smaller canals. The canals are straight and intersect at right-angles. The larger canals seem to originate at large circular depressions, perhaps dams/water reservoirs?

Could this be an old agricultural area? Maybe these anomalies are what are left of roads and an elaborate transport system?

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.
